10 In 2002 or 2003 season - If Pedro Martinez gets put on the 30 or 60 day DL, does not win at least 15 games, or has an Earned Run Average of above 5.00, then at the Astros request, the deal will be reversed - Sending Jeff Bagwell and Roy Oswalt back to Houston in exchange for Pedro Martinez and Shea Hillen-brand. Draft picks traded will remain with current teams Phillies - White Sox - trade 24 White Sox have put a clause on catcher Mike Lieberthal, that if he does not play at least 90 games in the 2002 season, they have the option of trading Lieberthal back to Philadelphia for $1 million Blue Jays - White Sox - trade 28 If Vernon Wells does not play at least 90 games, then he will be traded back to Toronto in exchange for $1 million, and the draft pick will remain with Toronto Roayls - White Sox - trade 35 Clause applies for next two years. If Frank Thomas does not play at least two years, does not play 100 games, does not hit 12 home runs, or does not receive 80 runs batted in, the Royals will receive the White Sox second round pick in the amateur / rookie draft for compensation. Red Sox - White Sox - trade 40 If Manny Ramirez does not hit 25 home runs and 100 rbi's, the Red Sox must give the White Sox $1 million for compensation. Braves - Mariners - trade 52 If Juan Gonzalez goes on the 60 day disabled list, the Atlanta Braves will receive Seattle's third round draft pick next year. If Juan goes on the 15 day disabled list twice next year, then Atlanta will receive Seattle's fourth round draft pick. White Sox - Phillies - trade 57 If Jason Marquis gets sent down to the minors by the Atlanta Braves (MLB), the White Sox must give the Phillies $500K in compensation .. If Adrian Brown does not see 250 AB's in the 2002 season, the Philies will be compensated with $250K Royals - Astros - trade 58 Clause applies to Luis Castillo - If Castillo does not have a batting average above .270, does not receive 20 stolen bases, doesnt play at least 95 games, or goes on the 60 day disabled list, then the Royals will be compensated with the Astros 1st round amateur draft pick. White Sox - D'backs - trade 69 Clause applies to Mike Lieberthal. If Lieberthal does not play at least 90 games in the 2002 season, the Diamond Backs will have the option for selling him back to the White Sox for $500K White Sox - Red Sox - trade 72 If Luis Garcia hits 30 home runs in either of his first two seasons, the White Sox must pay Boston 1 million in compensation Astros - Phillies - trade 80 If Kevin Millar goes on the 60 day DL in either 2002 or 2003, Houston will be compensated with $500K Royals - Yankees - trade 85 Clause applies to Jeff D'Amico. If D'Amico goes on the 60 day DL at all during the course of the next two years, New York must send Ted Lilly to Kansas City. Royals - Phillies - trade 91 If Fernando Tatis goes on the 60 day DL over the course of the next two years, the Royals will be comensated with $500K. Mariners - Astros - trade 97 Clause applies to Jeff Nelson. If Jeff Nelson does not appear in at least 35 games over the 2003 regular season, Houston will be compensated $1 million dollars. |
